Holter Monitoring
24-hour ambulatory ECG Holter monitoring is a diagnostic test that records the patients’ heart’s electrical activity while doing usual activities over a 24-hour period. Ambulatory means that the patient is able to walk during the test. The data from the Holter monitor is then analyzed and used to diagnose a variety of heart conditions, including arrhythmias, heart palpitations, and other abnormalities. In general, it is a safe and non-invasive test that can provide important information about a patient heart’s health and function.
